Ruby is the red variety of corundum, the 2nd hardest substance on the Moh's Hardness Scale, with a rating of 9. It is this combination of hardness, Rarity and the rich color that make fine rubies so valuable.

Emerald Emerald is in the beryll group. The deep rich golf green color of emerald is Very beautiful. It is known to have major inclusions and feathers throughout the stone. The best quality are golf gree green and very few inclusions.

Sapphire Sapphire,also has the same hardness as a ruby, in fact it also is corundum, is one of the 5 precious gemstones.

Tanzanite is found in Tanzania only. Colors range from blue to purple. The most expensive color is the dark blue, with less purple.
